i love you daddy!

i made this video for chris on elijah's behalf. i was tearing up so much just making it and chris teared up watching it! :) chris is an amazing father, such a good example, always striving to be like Jesus. i am so thankful for him as my husband and father of my children. God is good!

we were on a road trip and were snacking on a chocolate maca bearded brothers' bar.(www.beardedbros.com) elijah was about 7 months old and seemed really interested, so it being safe for him, allergen free, and healthy, i let him try a nibble and he just couldn't get enough! :)

kristy & caleb simpson's slideshow

my sister kristy is amazing and married an awesome gent, caleb simpson on november 3rd, 2010. for their rehearsal dinner, we showed this slideshow i put together showing their lives side by side, and eventually joining as one. friends, family, and of course, the happy couple loved it. i still tear up when i watch it, and praise God for joining these two together. i love them both and look forward to being there for both of them as their family grows. enjoy!

m&d herbert's 40th wedding anniversary!

i made this video for my milly, dinie, to surprise steve with for their 40th wedding anniversary. he totally teared up, it was great! im so glad that they are still in love after all those years, despite the trials that im sure they faced. i mean, chris was their son... thats an 18 year long trial! ;) jk anyway, i like to re-watch this video every now and then. it makes me appreciate the two of them even more, and also encourages me that marriages can last!

ps steve met dinie in holland when we was in the air force. that is where they got married and where these photos are taken. true story.

we moved into our new apartment at the end of june, and being in the 3rd tri, it has taken me awhile longer than i would have liked to get it 'all together,' (i still don't think its done, but at least everything is functional!) before here, we shared a duplex with my sister, kristy, who had all the living room furniture, which we had never bothered to invest in. not because we were lazy, but because of the prices! man, furniture is expensive! thankfully, God unexpectedly blessed us with furniture and so many other home needs and luxuries through the hands of mom and dad herbert, two of the most generous people i know! not to mention my milly (mother in law) dinie came to stay with me for a week to unpack and make this place a proper home, which was a whole 'nother blessing in itself! i made this video for them, to say thank you for all they did for us, though i wish i could do more in return. the Lord will bless them for their kindness to us, i just know it!
